MyStyle was born from the idea of training uninterrupted, no fancy equipment and no gimmicks. Just pure heart and hard work

In 2013 a paratrooper, a MMA fighter and a fitness fanatic decided that the usual commercial gyms were not enough and did not provide the gritty, hard-working atmosphere they all needed in order to progress in their individual fields.All they needed was a space, some weights, a rope to climb and a heavy bag.

Putting their ideas into fruition, MyStyle Gym started in a small unit on a local industrial estate, filling basketballs with sand for medicine balls, flipping local farmers’ tyres and using jerrycans filled with water as weights.

As other local businesses on the industrial estate witnessed the hard work of these three individuals day and night, in the snow and rain, word quickly spread about Mystyle Gym.

The gym began to grow in number as local runners, powerlifters, strongmen and women began training alongside each other pushing one another to their limits.

The unit space, after a short but difficult two year period, was now too small and it was time to relocate to a larger location.

Now Mystyle is one of the strongest gyms in the south of England, training athletes competing at both national and world level.

These elite athletes still continue to train with runners and neophyte grass root level gym goers, offering Mystyles Gym members a truly unique training atmosphere and experience.

  2. Hard work is essential if you are to achieve your goals, whether that be in or outside the gym.
  3. Greatness, results and goals are achieved through hard work, dedication and specificity. We demonstrate and promote that it is not just possible but a necessity that you are both STRONG and FIT. There is no reason that you should not be able to deadlift 3 x bodyweight, be competitive in a 10km race AND be able to spar a few rounds in the octagon.
  4. POWER, ENDURANCE AND STRENGTH!
  5. Ultimately… it’s you against you. The only limitations you have are those you have accepted for yourself.

Simon Rawlins

Personal Trainer

Simon is ex-Royal Navy and ex-Paratrooper who has competed in powerlifting, distance running, strongman and other fitness events. He has coached a plethora of athletes, including record-breaking powerlifters, national-level strongmen and women as well as endurance runners.

Giles Richards

Martial Arts Expert

Giles is a numerous title-bearing kickboxing and MMA fighter who has won fights at elite level and now owns a successful martial arts school, with popular classes spanning the whole of the south west of England.

Keiran Peters

Strongman

Kieran is an ex-Nuffield sport centre personal trainer and special school teacher who has directed his plyometric powerbuilding-style type training into competing in Strongman. He has qualified at national level to represent the U.K. at the prestigious Arnold Class 2018 in Ohio, USA. He continues to utilise his unique training style to coach many up-and-coming athletes.

Declan Ward

Strength & Endurance

Dec is a qualified personal trainer and Olympic weightlifting coach with over 10 years experience working in numerous commercial gyms, including Gold's Gym. He has competed in several superhuman games, 10k races and crossfit events at national level.

Our aims and objectives for the future

Our goals are to grow not just as a gym but as a brand.

We want to rid the fitness and strength industries of the false narratives that:

Strength and fitness are separate, and that to advance in one will always be detrimental to the other.

We plan to do this by producing some of the country’s and world’s best athletes, from a relatively small gym, with no fancy equipment – just good coaching and hard work.

We see our clothes and supplements being sold internationally, promoting the ‘average’ 9-5 or shift worker putting in the time and effort in the gym and making significant improvements in their STRENGTH, POWER and ENDURANCE.
